I woke up exactly at 4 a.m.
The last second before I woke up, I felt like someone was there. I felt a presence. Right before I opened my eyes, I saw Nick's Grandpa, Grandpa Del.
I had two visualizations of him.
First one in his hospital gown with his hair (that is usually nicely slicked back) sticking up and kind of messy. There was a scared look in his eye, but instantaneously that imaged changed to the happier, healthier Grandpa that I remember before he got sick. A tiny smirk and smiling eyes.
Smiling eyes that were very calming. So calming that it was like he was telling me that everything is going to be OK.
I got up and gasped. I wasn't scared though.
I'm not supersticious. Or at least, I'm not supersticious for being a Filipino. There are some cultural things that I follow, such as not walking over someone's body because it's disrespectful.
Black cats and crows don't scare me much. I put my bag on the floor quite often because I don't believe putting a bag on the floor will cause me to be broke. I don't believe in aswangs (vampires) or dwarfs.
In the Philippines, there's a small island that is believed to be enchanted. You are allowed to visit the island, but you must leave at a certain time or else you'll upset them.
Also, if a man pisses outside, he must ask permission to the dwarf, otherwise, the man will become ill.
Anyway, I don't believe in ghosts all that much and I had dreams where I saw deceased loved ones. However, I never actually felt like they were there.
This morning though, I really felt like Grandpa Del was there.
I decided to think of reasons why he would visit me.
1.- He is definitely looking out for Nick, the baby, and I.
2.- He is reassuring me that I shouldn't worry and to be strong for the baby.
Wow, thanks for visiting me Grandpa.
